The topics are:

1) Certificate Store - This explains how the Certificate Store tab in the CSI functions, and what the information in that pane of the CSI means.

2) CSI Store - The CSI Store is a place where the CSI can hold certificates. If you are using the CSI on a different machine to the one on which you downloaded your certifcates from Verisign you will have to add you certificates to this store. The CSI store also forces users to enter a password each time they log into the Customs Interactive and is a better way to manage certifcate usage for organisations that wish to maintain the highest level of security around certificate usage.

3) Default Certificates - The "Default Certificates" tab of the CSI opens a pane which allows you to set a default certificate. This is the certificate which the CSI will automatically choose whenever a user attempts to sign a transaction. This can be overridden at the signing phase if the user wishes to use a different certifcate.

4) Export Certs - This tutorial outlines the 2 different methods of exporting digital certificates from Internet Explorer and converting them to a transportable format. This will allow you to move the certifcates to a different machine if you are using the CSI on a machine other than the one on which you first downloaded the certifcates from Verisign. Customs recommends that you export your digital certifcates and copy them to a CD immediately upon downloading them. This will give you a secure backup in the event of loss or damage.

The two methods of exporting certifcates are:
a) - With a Private Key - For adding to the CSI Store
b) - Without a Private key - This is the certificate you give to your CTA Signatory or administrator to let them add you as a new user to the Customs Interactive system.
